After sifting through one of Peter Shankman’s emails from HelpAReporter.com, I came across an inquiry about what groups of girlfriends are doing to celebrate the arrival of the Sex and the City movie. I responded with my group’s plans and was quoted on a really interesting blog done by Irene S. Levine, PhD, called Fractured Friendships (http://www.fracturedfriendships.com/). When I responded to her questions, I didn’t realize the answers would be used on such a thoughtful, relevant site. She also told me that the article will be on the Huffington Post in a few days, so be on the lookout for that. Below is the excerpt featuring Fort Worth:
FORT WORTH
Sarah McClellan-Brandt and three others will be sipping Cosmos at a local (only in Texas) “movie tavern.” “It’s a great excuse for a GNO because SATC is something guys understand but don’t want any part of,” she says. “There are so many women who will let their female friendships wither once they are in a serious relationship but SATC shows how important it is NOT to do that.”
You rock Sarah! And I totally agree- it’s so important to have GNO time — it’s relaxing in a cosmo sort of way…hehe
