About a week ago, Fort Worth woman Tracy Roberson was released on bond after being sentenced to five years in prison for a murder her husband committed. Roberson was sentenced for involuntary manslaughter because she falsly cried rape and her husband murdered her lover in 2006. Essentially, this means the jury believes that men cannot control their own actions. Her husband, Darrell, even said “When I heard my wife scream rape and I saw (LaSalle) trying to drive off from the scene, I had no choice but to do what I did. If I had to do it over, I’d do it again” (Associated Press, May 7, 2008). Thoughts?
